The ABC’s of Faith

Anticipation: Do you remember the anticipation of starting a new school year? Once the teacher welcomed everyone and you heard your name during roll-call, you would know that you were in the right place. Heart of the Nation welcomes you to Catholic Mass on nationwide TV and online. The Lord calls each of us by name to live fulfilling lives of faith in joyful anticipation of eternal life with Him. If you can’t get to church because of illness, age, or other struggles, Heart of the Nation welcomes you to My Sunday Mass on TV or online. If you attend a parish Mass but would like to hear the Scripture readings again or benefit from a new homily, you’re in the right place.

Belief:  Catholic Mass includes the Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist. Hearing the Word of God as it unfolds in Sacred Scripture and witnessing anew as bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ, we are nourished, inspired, and sent forth to build upon these foundations of our faith.

Calm: Throughout our lives, each of us has to weather the storms of anxiety, pain, and the whole range of human experience. Holy Mass each week offers a time of peaceful prayer to the Lord, who calmed wind and waves. Hymns bring spiritual comfort and hope today as in the past. In the beauty and traditions of Catholic Mass celebrated in a 19th-century chapel, Heart of the Nation invites you to come into the calming presence of the Lord.
