Finally, the Disciples realized that Jesus knew absolutely everything. When the Lord said that His friends would soon abandon Him, the words must have stung. Jesus made the point that He wanted them with Him, on Earth and in heaven. During Jesus’ Passion, Peter denied Him three times, but the Risen Lord later gave him the opportunity to declare His love three times, too. Peter had failed, but the Lord reminded him to follow. The Holy Spirit helps! About a dozen believers in the city of Ephesus told Saint Paul that they had never heard of the Holy Spirit. When Paul baptized them, the Spirit enabled the group to prophesy and speak in tongues. If we tried to write down all that God has done, working with people’s strengths and even fiascos, can we even picture how many books the list would fill?
