Lord Jesus, When health in body, mind or spirit Has given way to pain, I bring to You the suffering I bear, In faith, not in complaint. For each moment of my being, In health or infirmity, Can be for me a time of grace, Blessed for eternity. May I feel Your presence near to me, So that I’ll not despair, Believing in Your promise to keep Me ever in Your care. Amen.

Saint Joseph, please join me in prayer today for blessing upon all who work with skillful hands, to build the Kingdom through their trades. You whose love our Lord Jesus knew, please pray for parents whose work includes bringing their children close to You. Having moved with your infant Son and Mary, please pray for all who search for work with hope despite the stress they carry. In fields, factories, or wherever work is fulfilled, please pray that workers, through their tasks, will do what the heavenly Father has willed. Amen.

Lord Jesus, When things are going much as I like, Let me turn to You in thankfulness. In times of struggle or uncertainty, Help me come to insightfulness. If my viewpoint is too limited, May I be blessed with greater thoughtfulness. No matter how events unfold today, Please grant me hope through faithfulness. Amen. .

Loving God, I come before You in need and in gratitude. In times of illness or struggle, please give me the help I need to remain strong in faith. In times of loneliness, please bestow a renewed sense of belonging. In prayer, I give You thanks that, in asking, I have already received the grace needed to believe. Amen.

Lord, my Savior, During this holy season of Lent, I pray in gratitude That You lived and died to bring Salvation through Your love and mercy. Vulnerable as in the desert, I pray to have the strength To overcome temptation– To thirst for holiness, though I am weak. Renewed in Baptismal commitment, I pray that the faith I share Will be a hope-filled blessing For others searching and in need. Amen.

Lord Jesus, Humbly I ask, through the gift of faith, For the blessing of Your Holy Spirit’s grace: To profess eternal truth that is You, In the words I say and in all that I do; To celebrate the nourishment You give That, in believing, forever I will live; To proceed in ways that let others see Grace-filled wonder and hope, because I believe; To pray with confidence that when I seek, Though I may grow tired, You hasten to meet; To welcome You always into my heart And Your abiding love to others impart. Lord Jesus, Please guide me as I start the Lenten journey anew— A journey toward repentance that You desire More than the donning of sackcloth or ashes. Though cleansed in Baptism through the Holy Spirit, I seek forgiveness for the times I have failed, Reminded of sin by the smudge of ashes. To You, O Lord, I desire to come with my whole heart, Offering myself and every sacrifice I make, Leaving love, not ashes, at the altar. Loving Savior, During this time of preparation and penance, May prayers, almsgiving, and fasting be for me A sacred pathway from ashes to Easter. Amen.

Heavenly Father, To You, I give thanks for the Holy Family: For the gentle presence of Mary, The upright example of Joseph, And for the obedience of Jesus. For my family members, I offer prayers for our needs And ask that we may be for one another A reflection of the Holy Family’s love. Amen.

God, our Father, Your Word is creative, Sustaining what You have made. May Holy Scripture bring me new hope In the blessings which I await. Loving Father, To You, I give thanks for the Lord Jesus, sent into the world to live among us and to be a patient, understanding, and sometimes challenging friend. For my friends, I offer prayers of gratitude that we have been drawn together. With each other’s love and help, may we draw closer to You. Amen.

Loving Father, When I think I can do things on my own, Please help me anyway. On the other hand, When I want You to be a handyman, Fixing this or that. Please help me to accept That in Your wisdom, You wear many hats. To tell the truth, I enjoy praise now and then. Please grant me more humility. To Love You above all things Is harder than it seems. Thank you for loving me even so. Amen.
2/26/19: Prayer for Peace
Lord, Jesus, peace is Your gift, Though it remains at times unopened. When my cares and anxieties get in the way, Please open my heart to Your peace. Yes, peace is Your gift, But I sometimes set it aside. When I am too focused on my struggles, Please help me to let Your peace inside. Peace that is Your gift, You lovingly leave with us. When I need to forgive or ask forgiveness, Please grant me the peace of leaving sin behind. Your peace is a gift Given for the purpose of sharing. When I can give comfort or help, Please share Your peace through me. Amen.
2/25/19: Remain With Me
Lord Jesus,
Remembering Your Passion, may I follow where you lead, and though I may be fearful, find in You the strength I need.
When I am burdened or distressed, please roll away the heavy stone so that I may feel You with me, not abandoned or alone.
Risen Savior, You appeared, but unrecognized at first; when I fail to see Your face, in Your love my heart immerse.
