2/23/19: Prayer to Embrace This Day
Lord Jesus, You came to make things new. I will never again be exactly as I am today; Help me to become more like You. My normal routine isn’t written in stone; Help me to be open to Your inspiration. Sometimes I wax nostalgic; Help me to embrace this day, too. Other times I struggle just to make it through; Help me to welcome Your Spirit of hope. Each day involves choices, big and small; Help me to be a sign of Your love. Amen.
2/22/19: In Gratitude for Friendship
Lord Jesus, friendship is Your gift. For friends who know when to challenge When to sympathize, and when to just be present , I give You thanks and praise. Through the friendship You offer me, May I find blessing, comfort in Your presence, and grace to follow Your ways. Amen.
2/21/19: Prayer Amidst Challenge
Lord Jesus, You made me and accept me, Yet challenge me today To grow in faith and share my beliefs As a follower of Your way. Amen.
2/20/19: Prayer Before Sleep
Lord Jesus, loving Shepherd, In every care and every choice, May I listen to Your voice; For You suffered on the Cross, So that Your flock would not be lost. Safe within Your watchful keep, May I fall now to restful sleep; That when the rays of dawn appear, In Your light, I shall not fear. Amen.

Loving Father, Sometimes we are baffled because Your works and ways are so far above ours. Please help us to set the bar high, doing good works and serving in ways pleasing to You. Amen.

When the ways of this world Take too much of my attention, May I look heavenward in prayer. With suffering visible around me And at times within my very self, May I find hope renewed. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You came as loving Savior, Taking upon Yourself the burden of my failing. I give You thanks that You remain always To hold open the door of faith. With the Heavenly Father, all things are possible, Though at times I struggle with doubt. I give You thanks for forgiveness and hope renewed At the threshold of the door of faith. Jesus, our Good Shepherd, you were sent By the Father who desires that none be lost. I give You thanks that, even unbidden, You enter my heart through the door of faith. Lord, You have shown me the way Leading to eternal life with You. I give You thanks, for in prayer at any hour, You answer every knock on the door of faith. Amen.
2/15/19: For the Suffering
Lord Jesus, Please be with the suffering in their need. For those who have lost family and friends, Please give comfort in their grief; For those in need of healing from illness or injury, Please give strength. Where homes and livelihoods have been lost, Please keep the victims close in the hearts Of people who can help. Where there is fear, please grant faith. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Love shared, given and received, Becomes a treasured part of me. I give You thanks for the hope Of life in love eternally. Amen.

Blessed Virgin, In your gentle holiness, Please join in my prayer For those who are sick. Holy Mary, I come to you, In your closeness to Jesus, Who can heal with just a word. When healing of body or mind is not to be, Please help those who suffer To bear the pain and distress Through hope of redemption and eternal life. Blessed Virgin Mary, you became The Mother of our Lord, And your heart was surely rent To see Him suffer on the cross. For those who are painfully afflicted, Especially when their faith is sorely tested, Please bring comfort, For you are our loving Mother, too. Amen.

Lord Jesus, I pray that my life’s journey will lead me ever closer to you. At every turn my life takes, may love for You remain safe within my heart. Amen.
2/9/19: A Disciple’s Prayer
To seek the Kingdom of heaven, When I don’t know how, Lord, help me to see the heavenly glory Around me, here and now. To be a faithful follower, When I feel far, far behind, Lord, please grant me the grace to listen To Your Word with open mind. To notice people as You did, When I would rather pass them by, Lord, increase in me the generosity To put my own desires aside. To be a sign of Your love, For I have Your love to give, Lord, may I reconcile with others readily, Following Your example of how to live. Amen.

Holy Spirit, Who comes in wind or whisper, I need not fear Or be distressed. In You I find comfort, Inspiration, and hope. To You I devote All I do in kindness and faith. Amen.

Loving God, as the sun sets in glorious hues, may I join all creation in giving glory to Your name. As the stars appear, I give You thanks for guiding me in times of darkness on a journey of faith. As the moon reflects light, I ask for Your grace to live in a way that reflects Your love. Amen.
2/6/19: Prayer When Things Seem Unfair
Lord Jesus, How often we ask why: When illness or other adversity strikes–“Why me?” In the rubble of natural disaster–“Why here?” When the answer to prayer isn’t what we had in mind–“Why not?” Loving Savior, Help me to regard whatever comes my way this day As opportunity: To give thanks for blessings undeserved; In offering forgiveness, to be undeterred; To look for ways to turn things around; In prayer, to be faithful that You won’t let me down. To remain hopeful in You, who know my every need; In a tumultuous world, to be a source of peace. Amen.

Holy Spirit, Come in wind or whisper, Giving me comfort and grace. Constant companion on my life’s journey, Be my help in struggles I face. Lord Jesus To You I offer joyful praise, For You are ever near me Throughout my life, in all my days, Knowing my every hope and need. Amen.
1/30/19: Turning to You, Lord
Lord Jesus, Whoever seeks You Will not be turned away. Longing for Your gentleness, I turn to You today. You lived among us, Healing through touch or word. Grant me faith that when I ask My prayer will be heard. Burdens unsurpassed And suffering You bore. When my cross weighs heavily, Please help me all the more. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You are with us always; May I never ignore Your love. You are here to guide me through Your Holy Spirit; Please come and get me if I walk away. You are in the people I meet in passing; May I notice those in need. You know me inside and out; I give You thanks that You love me anyway. You are with me in times of turmoil; May I find peace in the certainty of Your care. You understand the pain of loss; Please increase my faith when I feel alone. You are available to encourage me; May I listen to You in prayer. You recognize what keeps me going and what holds me back; To You I offer all that I hope to be. Amen.

Lord, You welcome every prayer. Please forgive my half-heartedness when You are deserving of all my love. When I do not receive what I ask for in prayer, please increase my faith and openness to being blessed in unexpected ways. Amen.
