Today, I ask for grace, In everything I do, To take notice of my blessings And be filled with gratitude.

Lord Jesus, in places of violence and strife, may Your peace instead of weaponry pierce peoples hearts.
February 11, 2015: Marian Prayer for the Sick
Blessed Virgin, In your gentle holiness, Please join in my prayer For those who are sick. Holy Mary, I come to you, In your closeness to Jesus, Who can heal with just a word. When healing of body or mind is not to be, Please help those who suffer To bear the pain and distress Through hope of redemption and eternal life. Blessed Virgin Mary, you became The Mother of our Lord, And your heart was surely rent To see Him suffer on the cross. For those who are painfully afflicted, Especially when their faith is sorely tested, Please bring comfort, For you are our loving Mother, too. Amen.
February 10, 2015: Serving the Lord
Loving Father, Sometimes we are baffled because Your works and ways are so far above ours. Please help us to set the bar high, doing good works and serving in ways pleasing to You.
February 9, 2015: A Disciples Prayer
To seek the Kingdom of heaven, When I dont know how, Lord, help me to see the heavenly glory Around me, here and now. To be a faithful follower, When I feel far, far behind, Lord, please grant me the grace to listen To Your Word with open mind. To notice people as You did, When I would rather pass them by, Lord, increase in me the generosity To put my own desires aside. To be a sign of Your love, For I have Your love to give, Lord, may I reconcile with others readily, Following Your example of how to live. Amen.
February 8, 2015: Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit, Who comes in wind or whisper, I need not fear Or be distressed. In You I find comfort, Inspiration, and hope. To You I devote All I do in kindness and faith. Amen.
February 7, 2015: Evening Prayer
Loving God, as the sun sets in glorious hues, may I join all creation in giving glory to Your name. As the stars appear, I give You thanks for guiding me in times of darkness on a journey of faith. As the moon reflects light, I ask for Your grace to live in a way that reflects Your love. Amen.
February 6, 2015: Prayer When Things Seem Unfair
Lord Jesus, How often we ask why: When illness or other adversity strikes–“Why me?” In the rubble of natural disaster–“Why here?” When the answer to prayer isn’t what we had in mind–“Why not?” Loving Savior, Help me to regard whatever comes my way this day As opportunity: To give thanks for blessings undeserved; In offering forgiveness, to be undeterred; To look for ways to turn things around; In prayer, to be faithful that You won’t let me down. To remain hopeful in You, who know my every need; In a tumultuous world, to be a source of peace. Amen.

Lord, For all who face uncertainty, May faith remain constant and sure; Where there is discouragement, Please lighten the burden through hope.

Lord Jesus, You came to share in our humanity. May I respond to the people around me with the love that You have given me to share. You came in humility. May I seek You in every place and circumstance. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You sent the Apostles to go forth. Please help me to be a good disciple, Forgiving and inviting others to share my faith.
February 2, 2015: Prayer for Vocations
Lord Jesus, You called Your disciples to follow You. For all who seek to discover their vocations, I offer my prayer that they will go where You lead. May ordained priests and deacons be a sign of Your sacramental presence among us. May religious sisters and brothers live joyfully their vows while pursuing the charisms entrusted to them. May families reflect the love of the Holy Family and support all vocations in the community of faith. May single laypeople dedicate themselves to serving others in ways pleasing to You. All these things I ask, Lord, in Your holy name. Amen.

God, our Father, Your Word is creative, Sustaining what You have made. May Holy Scripture bring me new hope In the blessings which I await. Lord Jesus, Remembering Your love, In Your care, I have been blessed. I am one in the communion of faith Blessed by Your Word and Eucharist. Holy Spirit, Come in wind or whisper, Giving me comfort and grace. Constant companion on my lifes journey, Be my help in struggles I face. Father, Son, and Spirit, You invite all to come With our gifts and heartfelt prayers, As child, brother, sister, or friend, Sheltered within Your constant care. Amen.
January 31, 2015: Offering Joyful Praise
Lord Jesus To You I offer joyful praise, For You are ever near me Throughout my life, in all my days, Knowing my every hope and need. Amen.
January 30, 2015: Turning to You, Lord
Lord Jesus, Whoever seeks You Will not be turned away. Longing for Your gentleness, I turn to You today. You lived among us, Healing through touch or word. Grant me faith that when I ask My prayer will be heard. Burdens unsurpassed And suffering You bore. When my cross weighs heavily, Please help me all the more. Amen.
January 29, 2015: To Be a Faithful
Lord Jesus, How wonderful to contemplate All that it means to be Baptized into Your holy Church As a member of Your body. Though I know I am unworthy As a temple of Your Spirit, May my heart be open To Your guidance and faith to hear it. You are the head of the Body, And yet I am a part; Help me accept the grace I need, To bring Your hope to others hearts. If a body were only eyes How could it walk or hear? Help me to serve as You intend, So that through me Your love appears. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You are with me always; May I never ignore Your love. You are here to guide me through Your Holy Spirit; Please come and get me if I walk away. You are in the people I meet in passing; May I notice those in need. You know me inside and out; I give You thanks that You love me anyway. You are with me in times of turmoil; May I find peace in the certainty of Your care. You understand the pain of loss; Please increase my faith when I feel alone. You are available to encourage me; May I listen to You in prayer. You recognize what keeps me going and what holds me back; To You I offer all that I hope to be. Amen.

Lord, You welcome every prayer. Please forgive my half-heartedness when You are deserving of all my love. When I do not receive what I ask for in prayer, please increase my faith and openness to being blessed in unexpected ways. Amen.

Loving Father, I give You thanks, for in the artistry of winter, no detail goes untended. Each snowflake You make worthwhile in singular beauty or within a sparkling panorama. So, too, I give you thanks for the splendor of individuality in people as You created them to be.
January 23, 2015: Prayer for New Perspective
Loving God, Throughout the day today, Help me to look at things a little differently. Yes, there will be violence in the world; Help me to focus on being more gentle. The weather will bring hardship to many; Help me to accomplish what I need to do without complaint. The poor and homeless will remain; Help me to make room in my heart for anyone I have shunned. People will suffer misfortune today; Help me to notice blessings I sometimes take for granted. I may find myself feeling pretty good or feeling downcast today; Help me to look to You with greater faith, no matter what. Amen.

God, our Creator, You made the world in the grandeur we behold. May more people see in each new life A miracle as Your plan unfolds.

Lord, in all I do today, help me to put You firstto seek You who can satisfy every spiritual hunger and thirst.

Lord Jesus, Help me to be a better disciple To forgive more easily, To pray more gratefully, To help more spontaneously, To live my faith more openly, And to love more fully. Amen.

I pray for people known and unknown Struggling with discouragement and pain. With Your blessing, May they emerge with renewed faith, Able to see Your glory.
