Lord Jesus, You are our Savior, Willing to suffer though You do not sin, Eager to lighten our burden with Your mercy. With whatever strength I have in body and spirit, Please help me to bear the hardships I face And to bring Your love to others. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You invite people to gather around the Your table at Mass, to be nourished through Word and Eucharist. May I nourish the people around me through Your love that is part of me. Where there is unrest in the world, may people gather around tables to resolve what violence cannot. Amen.
7/6/19: A Walk with the Lord
In the woods, with dappled light, lie roots and rocks I may not see. Lord Jesus, please be with me, though I stumble along the way. Only from a distance does the route to a mountain summit seem clear. Lord Jesus, be my foothold while showing me the way. In the sands of shore or desert, footprints quickly disappear. Lord Jesus, walk beside me when it seems hard to follow Your way. On the sidewalks of a city, Each intersection holds a choice. Lord Jesus, guide me constantly in all Your loving ways. Amen.

May we never take for granted Life enjoyed in liberty; We pray for people now afraid To praise You openly. May our pursuit of happiness Go hand in hand with being One in the Body in Christ, In whom we find our meaning. We remember in our prayers The souls of all whose lives are spent Declaring of sacred truths While trusting in Your providence. Amen.

Lord Jesus, When I am a less than enthusiastic follower, Please refresh me in my zeal. When I am hurting or need forgiveness, In Your love, please help me heal. When I am blessed with accomplishment or well-being, May gratitude be what I feel. Amen.

Lord Jesus, May Your Most Sacred Heart teach me To love even when it means sacrifice, To forgive even when I still feel hurt, To pray fervently when following You is hard, To engage life fully on the journey, To serve when selfishness would be simpler, To look for You at every crossroads, To have faith when I am afraid, To follow more closely in Your ways, To be accepting of others as You welcome me, To seek Your mercy though I am unworthy, and To hold You always gratefully in my heart. Heavenly Father, As a child dependent On You for every care, Please help me to become A sign of the love You bear. For the blessings of faith To live and share, With gratitude I come to You Who hear my every prayer. Amen.

Lord Jesus, How wonderful to contemplate All that it means to be Baptized into Your holy Church As a member of Your body. Though I know I am unworthy As a temple of Your Spirit, May my heart be open To Your guidance and faith to hear it. You are the head of the Body, And yet I am a part; Help me accept the grace I need, To bring Your hope to others’ hearts. If a body were only eyes How could it walk or hear? Help me to serve as You intend, So that through me Your love appears. Amen.

Loving Lord Jesus, Who noticed the merest touch to Your cloak, I give You thanks that I need never fear Being lost in the crowd of people coming to You. Beyond the words spoken, You know people’s hearts, And I give You thanks that You always hear My needs even beyond the prayers I bring to You. Amen.
